Q: Does it cost anything to become an affiliate?
A: No, our affiliate program is completely free to join and we won't charge you anything to participate in the program.

Q: Can I sign up as an affiliate from any country?
A: Yes, affiliates are very welcome from any country, but commission cheques will be issued in British Pounds Sterling and cheques will be sent from the United Kingdom.

Q: Can you send commission payments via another method, such as PayPal?
A: Yes, we now offer affiliate commission payments through PayPal. However, you must ensure that the 'Name on cheque' field in your 'Profile' includes your PayPal email address. The required format to enter is: PayPal: your-paypal-address@your-email.com. [top]
Q: When are commissions paid?
A: Commission payments are processed and sent around the middle of each month, so commission you make during January will be paid around the middle of March. We need to allow this extra month before paying commissions because we offer all hosting customers a 30 day money back guarantee, so this will allow us enough time to incorporate any refunds in the commission payment sent. Also, please note that we pay commission on a monthly basis, not quarterly as some programs do. [top]
Q: I have more than one website/business and would like separate affiliate accounts, can I join your affiliate program more than once?
A: Yes, you can join more than once, but you will have a different username, web URL, login details and payment for each account. [top]
Q: If I haven't generated any sales within a period of time (i.e. 6 months), will you close my affiliate account?
A: No, we don't close any accounts due to inactivity. Although we do hope that you generate a good steady stream of sales and do well with the program! Also, don't forget to make use of your affiliate referral web link to recruit sub-affiliates. You will receive commission from their sales! So even if your own affiliate account is inactive, you will still receive commission from your sub-affiliate's sales! [top]
Q: How do I change my contact details or check sales and commission amounts due?
A: Simply log in to your affiliate account and you will be able to check sales, commissions due, stats and more. You can instantly change your contact details by clicking on the 'Profile' link at the top of the page.

Q: What happens if I lose my login username and/or password?
A: If you forget or lose your username or password, please go to the login page (or lost login details page) and enter your registered email address in the area provided and the system will automatically send your login details to the same email address on your account. If you don't receive your password by email within a reasonable amount of time (the system will send this immediately), or you have changed your email address, then please contact us.

Q: Will any of my contact details be passed onto anyone else?
A: No, we don't pass any details onto anyone else. However, the details you submit will be stored for use by the affiliate program software and we may send email to affiliates from time to time regarding the running of the affiliate program, affiliate promotions, as well as to inform you when a new sale has been processed or when a new sub-affiliate has joined the program. We will also send you a monthly affiliate statement showing payments due to you or payments carried over. There is an option from your login pages to 'unsubscribe' to email contact from us, but doing so will automatically delete your affiliate account and any commission amounts from the system. [top]
Q: What are the commission amounts paid?
A: These details are shown in the Terms and Conditions page. Please refer to that page for details. [top]
Q: Do you deduct tax or an admin handling fee or anything else from the commission payments?
A: No, we don't deduct anything from your commission payments and there are no admin or handling fees to pay, so you will receive every penny you make! You are responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes from your commission payments. Also, please bear in mind that if you are not a UK resident, your bank may make an admin charge to process and pay a UK cheque into your bank account. This is one of the reasons why there is a minimum commission that has to be earned before payment is sent. You also have the option of receiving commission payments via PayPal. [top]
Q: Do I need my own website and/or Internet access to become an affiliate and can you give some ideas how I can market this?
A: No, you don't need a website or Internet access (apart from the web sign up process) but it would certainly help! Your affiliate URL can be used anywhere (see terms and conditions - no spamming) and may be included in your own web pages, in the sig file of your emails, in articles, newsletters, submitted to search engines and classified ads sites, added to other websites as a reciprocal link or you may want to create your own web hosting page (a keyword/keyphrase optimised page within your own domain or web space) and include your affiliate link - this will help get you a better search engine ranking than submitting your affiliate URL on its own.
For offline marketing, you could use your affiliate link on flyers, brochures & leaflets, in local newspapers or shop windows, on business cards or postcards, or you could have business cards created and make a point of handing them out or leave a card or two in various places that you visit, i.e. cafes and restaurants, clubs, bars, hotels, bus or taxis, library, hand one to the shop assistant/owner or waiter/maid, drop them into the letterbox of any businesses or shops you pass, include them in any letters or mail you send out, etc. Make a list and see how many you can think of! If you have other products and services, you could also include these details in your flyers and cards. Don't forget to keep them with you everywhere you go!

Q: If I gain sub-affiliates through my affiliate link, what additional work will I need to do and what support do I need to provide for my sub-affiliates?
A: None at all! When someone joins our affiliate program via your sub-affiliate web link, they will join our affiliate program directly and they will receive the same support from us. Our software will automatically associate your ID with your sub-affiliates IDs, so you will always be credited with a 5% commission on all sales via your sub-affiliate's own web links. [top]
Q: What happens when I sign up?
A: When you sign up as an affiliate you will receive your own affiliate URL (website address) in an email from us which will include your affiliate username. Once you have this URL you are ready to promote the service and add the URL to your own web pages. This same URL can be placed on as many web pages as you want, so there's no need to create different URLs for different pages or websites.
When someone clicks on your affiliate URL or enters the URL into a web browser, the URL will automatically redirect the web page to the web-hosting-plus.com website and will store a 'cookie' on their system which will include your affiliate username. If within the next 120 days they then place an order (either via your affiliate link or directly from our website) the affiliate system will look for the cookie (containing your username) and will incorporate your username into the order process so that we know who the referral was from. Your affiliate account is then credited with the sale and commission when the order is processed.
Also, don't forget to make use of your affiliate referral web link to recruit sub-affiliates. You will receive additional commission from their sales! You may want to concentrate most of your efforts on recruiting or referring new affiliates to become sub-affiliates. You will then receive a 5% commission on every sale made through their affiliate links which can generate several hundreds (or thousands) of extra pounds per month from a medium or large team of sub-affiliates.
